Gosh, I woke up this morning and it’s so cold. Seems we complain if it gets too hot and now I hear everyone already talking about how cold it is. Are you cold or hot??? Sometimes we are just like the weather.. Hot for God and then we find ourselves Cold for God.  Funny how the real Seasons in our lives change and so do our Seasons with God. I know that you can’t just be luke warm. I did that for so many years of my life. Thinking I was enjoying life, being involved in all my JUNK.  Looking back I realize I was just passing time. God was NOT the center of my life so the truth is I WAS COLD… I have alitte fire burning inside these days. It keeps me warm all over. Don’t get me wrong there are days that I feel a draft but I just grab a log ( my bible) and throw it onto the fire. How about you? You COLD today? I encourage you to spend some time in his heated word, call a Christian friend who is like a nice wool wrap and aask them to pray with you . Let’s get those FIRES burning.

It seems that it is the mind where all our problems begin.  It’s like this little voice says things to us to get us off track. OKAY, well I know that only happens to me. LOL  Starting Thursday, January 13th I will be facilitating “Battlefield of the Mind”by Joyce Meyer. This is actually the DVD series and it’s ony 4 lessons. All you need to bring is an open heart and a notebook. We all need encouragement and companionship with our “sisters in Christ”. The only way to do that is to commit to something. Everything worth having or experiencing ask something of you. There is limited seating so let me know if you are interested in being a part of this study. ONLY 4 WEEKS.  Refreshments will be served. What would you get up for at say 3:30 am? Get a bath, put makeup on and throw on your clothes to get out and fight traffic just to get to the door to see hundreds of other people pushing and shoving trying to be the very first in line?????? Did you do that this past Friday??? I saw photos on facebook of folks sitting in the aisles at Walmart, nose to nose in a line as far as you could see, grabbing wrist bands so you were assured a spot at the 5am sale. WAS THAT YOU??? I remember about 6 years ago I too did that same thing. The key word here is 6 years ago.LOL  It reminded me of a time that I even slept in a lawn chair outside the Mississippi Coliseum to purchase Tickets to see Michael Bolton for my sister.  HOW INSANE… Maybe when your young you just don’t see it. I actally got sad  as I saw these photos on the web and listened to news reports of how folks got strampled and that more than ever folks had turned out for the BIG SALE. I wondered if today, SUNDAY, folks were getting up at 3am, 4 am or even 5am with the anticipation of worshipping our Lord and Savior today?? Do we want to beat the crowd this morning, do we want to get that front row seat, Are we running to him this morning?  The truth is we should want that front row seat every morning but somehow I think we have allowed our world to water down our time with God, our experience with God, our closeness with God , our whole concept of God.  My prayer for you and for me, is that we will have or find that much enthusiasm for Christ and that we will RUN to him… Hoping to receive everything He has to SELL.
